Geographical, Remoteness and Socio-Economic Indicators:
In most instances, geographic indicators can be included with the other relevant variables when requesting data from a given collection. The most common geographic indicators that are available are postcode and the census Statistical Local Area (SLA).
Another geographic identifier that is collected by the Australian Bureau of Statistics is the collection district (CD) which typically covers 200 households. Data is usually not supplied at the CD level but it is possible to assign Socio-Economic Indexes For Areas (SEIFA), and Accessibility/Remoteness Index of Australia (ARIA) values at the SLA or CD level.
